Getting to Nimbin

Finding your way to Nimbin Crystal Tourist Park is easy and enjoyable. Our park is tucked away in beautiful rainforest surroundings, only a 4 minute walk from the heart of town, and town bus stop.

By Car or Campervan

Located inland of Byron Bay and to the north of Lismore, Nimbin is easily accessed by car. The village is within a 1.5-hour drive of both the Gold Coast and Byron Bay, 30 minutes from Lismore and 2.5 hours from Brisbane. Regardless of which route you take, we recommend leaving a little early so you have plenty of time to stop at local villages along the way, snap a few pictures of the incredible views.

Remember to watch out for wildlife, and always drive to the weather conditions and your vehicles capacity!

By Public Transport

Bus services operate from Byron Bay, Lismore, Murwillumbah, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Northern Rivers Buslines operate between Lismore Transit Centre and Nimbin with several services running Monday - Friday. For those coming from the Tweed Shire, Gosel’s Bus Company runs from Murwillumbah Monday - Friday, with Premier Coaches providing adjoining services to and from Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Taxi and Uber is available in the Byron and Northern Rivers area, however we recommend securing your transport in advance as depending on the time of year, these services can be limited and very expensive.

Travelling from a little further away?

Nimbin's closest airport is Lismore Regional Airport, serviced by Regional Express Airlines (REX). It offers everything you need for a comfortable travel experience including friendly service, car rentals, taxis and limousines. The Gold Coast Airport is located 81 kilometres to the north, just over the border to South East Queensland. The drive south to Nimbin meanders through some of the area's most stunning landscapes and picturesque villages. Alternatively, the Ballina Byron Gateway Airport, 65 kilometres east of Nimbin, transports visitors to and from the heart of the Northern Rivers and is just minutes away from some of Australia’s most iconic beaches.
